The Health Hub

HEALTH HUB

A range of clinical services will be provided from the Health Hub, located on the new Tweed Valley Hospital campus.

The Health Hub will provide specialist outpatient services including the Aboriginal Health Service (Bugalwena), HARP (HIV and Related Programs) and Oral Health services.

Construction of the Health Hub commenced in September 2022 and will be completed in late 2023.

LEARNING, DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH CENTRE

The Learning, Development and Research (LDR) Centre will provide health staff, researchers and educators with state-of-the-art training and research spaces.

Located on the Tweed Valley Hospital campus, the LDR will include simulation and skills rooms, immersive learning and research spaces, a library, computer lab training and an auditorium.

The Northern NSW Local Health District has partnered with the Northern NSW Academic Health Alliance (comprising Griffith University, Southern Cross University, Bond University and TAFE NSW) to deliver an integrated clinical training and collaborative research hub on Level 1 of the new LDR building.

The innovative collaboration will enable current and future health staff to train and develop their skills locally. It’s one of the ways we’re growing our future health workforce to deliver improved health outcomes for our communities in Northern NSW.

More information about the Northern NSW Local Health District’s partnership with the Alliance can be found on the Northern NSW Local Health District website.

Construction of the LDR will be completed in late 2023.
